To hang a kayak in your garage, you will need a sturdy overhead beam, two ratchet straps, and a kayak hanger. Fasten the ratchet straps to the beam and kayak, then tighten until the kayak is secure.

To tie down a kayak on a roof rack, first secure the front and rear of the kayak with bow and stern lines. Then, use two side lines to secure the kayak to the rack. Finally, add a center line to prevent the kayak from swaying.
